Kartel may sue the Gleaner for publishing this photo
November 17th, 2008

(Text Message From Kartel)
“It is very malicious on the part of the Star to publish a picture without first ascertaining the origin of the photo or confirming the authenticity of the picture and/or its content and as such I have no choice but to take legal action against the Gleaner Company of Jamaica because it obvious they seek to defame my character”.

Gangs of Liverpool
September 29th, 2008
Nihilistic kids terrorize Liverpool

Gangs led by children as young as 14 are terrorizing Liverpool and surrounding areas; after drug-dealing kids had to arm themselves to defend against older kidnappers and would-be thieves, gangs have intensified, as have the crimes they commit. Last year Rhys Jones (above, in halo) was gunned down–shot in the back of the head–by a 14 year old gang member engaging in spraying a rivals neighborhood.
How to combat the problem.
“The debate gets polarised into those who think the answer is more youth clubs, better education and housing, versus those who think that the solution is more police and tougher sentences. We seem to be no closer to resolving the situation of street crime than they were back then when these crimes were played out in the 1880s. (says Michael Macilwee, author of “Gangs of Liverpool”)
